Walter Morr, Class of 1958
Walter F. Morr, 69, of Camden died Friday, May 29, 2009, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
He was born March 3, 1940, in Waldron to Hobart F. and Florence E. (Miller) Morr. Walter
graduated from Waldron Area High School in 1958. He then received his business degree from
Jackson Community College in Jackson. Walter served his country during the Korean War with the
U.S. Marines. Walter was employed at various businesses in the area. He had a great love for
traveling, flea markets, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are a son, Dennis Florentine of Angola, Ind.; four daughters, Patricia A. Morr of
Angola, Ind., Peggy (Carl) Rupp of Montpelier, Ohio, Pam (Bill) Bailey of Arab, Ala., and Phyllis
A. Sowers of Ashville, Ohio; three brothers, Dale (Joan) Morr of Pioneer, Ohio, LeRoy (Nora) Morr
of Waldron, and Charles (Rhoda) Morr of Elyria, Ohio; one sister, Janet Geraghty of Merseyside,
England; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wayne Morr, and one sister, Mary Kosier.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pioneer Nazarene Church in Pioneer with
Pastor Wayne Sweely to officiate. Donations can be made to the the family. Thompson Funeral
Home is in charge of the arrangements.
