July 24, 1942 — Feb. 7, 2009 Carla May Bryan, 66, of Waldron, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at her home.
Carla was born on July 24, 1942, in South Bend, Ind., the daughter of Dr. Kenneth and Elizabeth (Harris) Gamble. She graduated from Waldron High School in 1960. Carla enjoyed shopping, sightseeing, going to the lake, spending time outdoors and working on the family farm. She worked at Fayette Tubular for several years. Carla is survived by three children: Cynthia Bryan of Waldron, Wayne (Paula) Bryan of Missouri and Anthony (Jen Evener) Bryan of Waldron; grandchildren, Jamie Bryan, Rusty (Jessie) Bryan and Laureen Bryan; greatgrandchildren, Jordon, Skleigh, Jaycub, Caylib and Miles Cooper; two brothers, Lowell (Kathy) Gamble of California and Robert (Barb) Gamble of Chicago, Ill,; sister, Carol (Alan) Day of Hudson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Gamble. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, at the VFW Hall in Waldron. Memorials are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson. |
